Led by Play Torbay, Quest Play aimed is to transform cultural spaces into places where audiences can interact with them in a playful, adventurous way. Over two years, the project worked with three heritage sites, developing new performance-based work with children and young people – ‘Hope’ at Greenway, ‘Secrets’ at Cockington Court, and ‘Tiny Huge’ at Torquay Museum. Each quest too the form a devised-performance, weaving together researched stories and adventures for family audiences take interactive part in.
The project incorporated a web-based game built to support multimedia performances at three heritage sites to provide additional opportunities for audiences to explore the grounds of three magical places in Torbay. Sound Comminities produced a radio feature about each Quest documenting the young peoples’ learning and providing a lasting legacy for the Quests
